Question about backing up my rooted EVO

Ok.. I just changed over to the EVO from a TP2. I just rooted my phone..... Wasn’t simple to me at first.....
I just backed up my phone and my question is, if I saved a copy of my backup up to my desk top and god forbid my sd card crashed would I have a difficult time backing up my phone from my desktop if I simply placed it on a new sd card?
I’m considering flashing a new ROM

Re: Question about backing up my rooted EVO

no you wont have a problem saving a nand backup to your desktop if you run into trouble with your sd...only prob youd have would be trying to put that nand back up on a different phone.

Re: Question about backing up my rooted EVO

That's not a problem, just remember what folder the backup is stored in. Clockwork and RA recovery save them in different folders. If they're not in that folder the recovery wont find them.

I don't think you ever want to do that. If you want to back up your phone to restore on another, use Titanium Pro or some other backup program. There are programs that push your junk on a server. Don't use Nandroid. It saves things that are bound to the physical Mac address of the phone.

Re: Question about backing up my rooted EVO

As importantly, your saved MyBackup Pro (local) would be saved, as well as local Titanium backup files. If you are as concerned about loss of data as I am, you will do backups in multiple ways, including online.
