.Zip Installation Issue

Just switched from a Touch Pro to the Evo and I'm having trouble installing a .zip file. I just flashed Calkulin's EViO 2 v1.7.5 which has the search button disabled by default. I downloaded the Calkulin's_EVO_Default_Buttons.zip and placed it on my SD card and tried to install it via the recovery menu. However each time I've tried, the installation starts and then almost immediately I get "Installation aborted".

Am I doing something wrong?

Again I'm completely new to the EVO and Android in general so it's entirely possible I'm screwing something up or doing it entirely wrong.

Re: .Zip Installation Issue

Try downloading the file again and putting it on your card. Are you "wiping"?

Re: .Zip Installation Issue

I probably should have mentioned that I tried re-downloading it already. I wiped before I flashed the ROM but not before I tried to install the .zip. Should I be? And if so, what do I need to wipe?

Re: .Zip Installation Issue

Ya I'm using ClockworkMod Recovery.

Tried wiping Cache Partition and Dalvik Cache, same result.

-- Installing: /sdcard/Calkulin's_EVO_Default_Buttons.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Installation Aborted.
Any other suggestions?

open the clockwork mod rom manager app.. at the bottom if should give you the option to flash a alternative recovery, flash RA then reboot into recovery.. thats the one that truely wipes everything.

Re: .Zip Installation Issue

Oh ok, I didn't know what you meant by ra recovery in your previous post.

Gave that a try and it worked perfectly. Thanks so much for your help.
