Re: Making the Move to EVO
1. Not yet.
2. You can do all the updates first and then root or the other way around. [ROOT][GUIDE] HBoot 2.02/2.10 SOFF - The Savior Edition - Upd. 12.26.10 - xda-developers 3. Yes, plenty. I use Calkulin [ ROM ][ 12-22 ] Calkulin's EViO 2 ROM v1.7.1 [3.70.651.1 l Undervolted l Themeable] - xda-developers 4. Most are usually better with battery then stock. |

Re: Making the Move to EVO
Varaff summed it up pretty well. I too use Calkulin's latest ROM and it is awesome. I had the same thinking right before I got the Evo... reading on the internet that "Battery life is horrible". Most of those reviews are misconstrued about battery life. For what the device does, battery life is excellent. I had some extra batteries from my TP2 that I had used and my original Evo battery out does them. I do a heavy amount of text, push email, voice, youtube, and some small games... and always get at least 24 hours. I have a cradle setup to charge my dead batteries, so when one gets low I pop in a charged battery... no more charging on the cord.

Re: Making the Move to EVO
I can only answer 3 and 4. Im using the newest damage control and the battery life with 4g on is almost a whole day. As far as speed, all the roms I tested are more or less the same.
As far as the best rom, i would say try them all out because guaranteed you will get 100 different answers when just asking us. Check out my signature for all available EVO roms.
