Re: New Kernel/Superior Battery Life

I've seen many suggestions, options and tweaks for more battery life. All have been either very minimul or not effective for me. I've owned my EVO since launch day.

This kernel DOES work and work well. After 1:15 I had 98% battery, with some txts, two quick calls and a little bit of 4G surfing. I was astonished. Before, It would sit in my pocket and drain out.

Since 11:30 am off the charger with some calls, facebook, photos uploads to facebook and text as well as email and tapatalk I'm at 55% at 10:45 pm. Usually I have to change during the day.

Re: New Kernel/Superior Battery Life

This has been, by far, the best upgrade I have done to my phone since getting it!

Re: New Kernel/Superior Battery Life

what would be nice with these type of upgrades would be a controlled test. We know the theory and have anecdotal reports but what woulld be invaluable would be lab test. Not easy to do since most of us have limited control over our phones.

I guess the best you could hope for would be to put two phone side by side, doing the identical duties. One with a stock kernel and the other with an SBC.

Re: New Kernel/Superior Battery Life

I'm confused as to witch one to choose (less havs, more havs, no havs). I'm on the Sprint Lovers Rom so I know I should choose a "Sense" one, but what's the deal with the havs?

Re: New Kernel/Superior Battery Life

I put all three on my phone and have switched between them. Don't see much difference between the three so I stayed with Not Havs

Re: New Kernel/Superior Battery Life

SO a couple of questions:

1. on a sense ROM with 003 hardware... Is a V7 KERNEL or 131 KERNEL better?

2. DO we need more havs or no havs? I am confused? 131 is MORE HAVS and was working great. I just flashed and am now trying a 4.2.2 more havs v7 kernel on my sense rom.

any insight as to which is better??
