Thanks. I will probably wait till unrevoked officially works for this new update. Plus on the official sprint forum alot of people are having issues. So I think id better wait. The only update I won't mind that will unroot my phone is gingerbread. oh well, I'm sure unrevoked is working hard at it. They've never let me down before.
If anyone with unrevoked has updated let us know how it goes and what it does.

I tend to agree that there is most likely some bug fixes and other improvements in this update. I'm sure people will quickly discover some improvements... mabe not.

This update might have some bug fixes, but its not worth losing root over it. I love being able to tether without paying extra. Plus with root I can run programs that help with battery life. Hopefully unrevoked will have a solution in the next couple weeks.

On page 2 of this thread I posted a link to the ota that had already been rooted. Been using it since yesterday, and yes I am still rooted.

Everybody says you will lose root, but even if you do, you can just root it back when the updated bootloader comes out right?

Re: New ota 3.70.651 12-15-10

Interesting... I have a coworker with the newer 3.30 version of firmware...he just got the update this morning. I have ANOTHER coworker and myself with the 3.29 version of firmware and we have received nothing. Wonder if they are just starting with the 3.30 people first or are they the only ones getting it?

I updated to the ROM I quoted in my earlier post, and I still have root. So not everyone says you will lose root.

From what I've been reading, there is also a fix for the later devices in this OTA. So they probably will be getting it first. Sprint had a blog to their people telling them of this update and that it will be coming out slowly as not to overwhelm their servers.
