Look at when I wrote that compared to the announcement and nowhere does it say EVO. Like with froyo, my bet is 2-3 weeks for daily builds

I doubt you'll see an OFFICIAL evo build anytime this year. But my response was to the first part of your comment: "If it does get unveiled later today,"

Gingerbread will not be adaptable to hardware that does not meet the following specifications:

It must have a CPU clocked at 1GHz or higher
It must have 512MB or more of RAM
It must have a screen sized 3.5-inches or higher


Galaxy S, Evo, Desire HD, Droid X meet the specs

I thought from last reading that 2.3 Gingerbread was only some fixing up not a major upgrade. Honeycomb will be 3.0

That's what I understood gingerbread to be, too.

Yeah my understanding was that 3.0 might actually be Honeycomb which will be more tablet-centric

Wonder whether there will be two versions, once for the later HBoot and one for the earlier phone? Or do you think it will be overloaded to suit them all?
