Moving GPS waypoints to Evo

I've played a little with the GPS on my Evo, and it works well for local nav stuff. But I'm kind of a power GPS user and have 6 or 7 units for offroad nav, road nav and fishing nav. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to make the GPS on the Evo much more useful by being able to download my waypoints, routes, tracks and the like to it. Is this possible?

If not, which I suspect is the case, is there a good app that will run on the phone that will give me a "power" GPS, like the Garmin Mobile XT I used on my WM phones?
