Stupid Noob Question

OK, I am about to pull my hair out with andriod and the my new EVO. I am not stupid with this stuff normally. I had the TP and TP2 and i personally unlocked both and flashed countless ROMS so I know my way around phones but this is my 1st Android and I am a little lost. I can't seem to find where I can adjust some basic settings on the phone. I feel retarded for asking these questions.

1. How do I set apps to install on the SD Card? There has to be some sort of settings somewhere. Can't find it.

2. I can't figure out how to sort my contacts by their last name and not 1st name.

I guess this is all kinda the same problem in a sense. I can't figure out how to customize my EVO's settings. I have gone in the settings app but I can't seem to find where to adjust these things.

Any help is appreciated.

1.it only works if the developer of the app has it included. Go to menu/settings/applications/manage applications, choose the app, if the developer has it set up, click on the "move to SD card" button

2. not sure on this one, I think it just sorts alphabetically.....

I just thought I would add my question here instead of opening up a new thread.
If I added say 3 evo's to my acct. would I have to pay the $10 charge 3 times or is it just once?

OP are you old enough to remenber TJ Hooker. I have found that on my phone it seems that first name is first you would need to change it one at a time. Even when I sync with Outlook the first time it did not matter which way I had it in Outlook.

I am 36. I remember William Shatner in all his glory. The name TJ Hooker is on purpose.

I cannot believe something as a simple sort option in the people app is not available. really, unbelievable. this is my 1st android so I am getting use to it. Been Windows Mobile for yrs.. Both have their plus and minuses.

OK, I have another noob question. This phone is loaded with bloatware that is always on. I loaded the task killer app. is there a way to remove it or not have it constantly loading and me having to kill it?

For question 2, you have to go to the contact, then click edit. Select the name as if you were to edit it and there is an option that says display as

Also, if you have google contacts selected in your people settings, it will always default to first then last name. You have to unlink your google contacts.

thx but that wont work. i have over 300 contacts. that is a nightmare.
