camera problem

I convinced my sister and brother in law to get Evo's. My sisters phone has no issues, my BIL's phone has a camera issue whereby every picture he takes is upside down! We've gone into the settings/display/ and auto rotate is checked on. I've also rooted both of their phones but his camera issue was occurring even before it was rooted. Can anyone help with this? I tried searching through the forum and couldn't come up with anything.....thanks in advance for any help!

Re: camera problem

Is it the new 004 hardware? Maybe it needed the camera drivers update to fix that. Or it can just be a hardware issue and you will need to unroot it and take it back to Sprint.

If a data reset does not fix it, then its probably a hardware issue. Sprint will fix that for you just make sure it is unrooted.

Re: camera problem

It's almost certainly software, not hardware. When I got my Evo in May, the front facing camera was flipped left-to-right. It resolved itself through some ROM update I've put in

Re: camera problem

the Rect parameter has an X,Y value. Though it is hard to fathom, it would seem like they are reversed. Of course, they could have simply soldered the camera in upside-down.

Re: camera problem

I remember befor the latests update that HTC released in the camera settings there was a setting for mirroring...when ever I turned that on my picture would be upside down...now since the update it has been fixed...maybe you just had the older software on your phone...
