Yes anything that is always updating on its on will kill battery need to sync when needed.

Turning off enable always on mobile data gave me a message about some programs not being able to auto update. Has anyone found any programs that didn't update on their own once you unchecked this?

I think I have to leave it on. Turning it off messed up all my streaming audio so it would stop playing after about five minutes.

Real live IMAP service is also affected by no data.

thanks for the tips guys, i was in a similar situation. My question is there a way to use the andriod market without enabling "background data", its the only thing that i have found that makes me turn it on. THanks.
