Recorded Video Quality Horrible?

When I set the encoding type to mpeg4 and resolution to 720p my videos come out really choppy. While playing back the video the picture will freeze for a bit while the audio continues to play, in one video the audio even completely cuts out at the end. It's not as bad recording with h264 the highest resolution I am able to select with that is 800x480, but even that comes out choppy. I'm running 2.2 stock.

Here are some samples

Re: Recorded Video Quality Horrible?

Ok I think I figured out what the problem was. I changed the Flicker Adjustment from Auto to 60Hz then recorded a few videos and didnt get any lagging or choppy video while playing it back

Re: Recorded Video Quality Horrible?

the EVO does not support HD playback in any way shape or form... its not suppose to even and thats stated in EVOs info... it can record 720p, but its not capable of playing it perfectly by any means

just saying

Re: Recorded Video Quality Horrible?

I've read on other message boards that since the fps fix data was not passing to the included class 2 microSD card fast enough and was causing choppy recording in 720p. Some claimed that using a class 4 microSD card fixed it but I can not confirm it.

Well I don't do too much recording in 720p, I usually leave it at 800 x 480 but I do have a few 720p videos and I have never experience anything like this. When I first got my evo on release day I immediatley replace the sd card with a 16gb class 6.
