No Network Connection

OK, this has got to be somewhere in this forum, but I just can't find it. Sorry if I'm asking for information that's already posted.

I'm trying to use wireless tether. I rooted using unrevoked 3. I downloaded free wireless tether 2.0.2-pre14. Wireless tether fires up just fine. My computer sees it and says "connected." However, even though I am connected to the EVO, I get "no network connection" or "no internet access" errors. I can access the internet just fine on my phone; just not from my computer.

What can I possibly be missing?

CHECK ON YOUR COMPUTER FOR HOME CONECTION BUSINESS ETC.. OR USE THE LATEST PRE..wireless_tether_2_0_5-pre12.apk

I think the Wireless Tether is the wrong one Its not working on Evo it works on other types of phones. I think 2.05pre11 is around the lastest that may work on Evo. I am on OMJ 3.8x that has it built in as many other Rom Builders incude one version or other of it. Maybe try one of the custom roms that might have Sprint Bloatware removed.

Also, reboot your computer. Alot of people get on here and post after trying wireless tether with the exact problem you describe and rebooting the computer solved it so try that before anything else.

That one has failed on me the latest one i started to pay for 30 bucks becuase sprint hotspot works better now

wow are u seriosly paying 30 bucks for the hot spot?? It would be easy to get a custom rom with that already include it on the rom.. Im using mikfroyo and i dnt have to pay 30 for that feature.. And besides that is a good rom fast stable etc.. Well that was your choice.. Wow
