Re: Sprint AirRave2 possible SMS MMS one hour timestamp culprit

I called again today and was advised that it is a "known issue" and that they are working on fixing it (with not timeframe of course). Keep the calls rolling in people and let them know!

Re: Sprint AirRave2 possible SMS MMS one hour timestamp culprit

Looks to be fixed for me now. Just got a few texts this morning and they actually had the correct time. Now if they can just get the call waiting issue fixed....

Yea if you look at the screen you will see a missed call but you will never get the call waiting tone. If I have the Airave unplugged it works fine. I still have an open ticket with Sprint. They call me every few days to see if the problem magically fixed itself but say it's a known issue.

Just another thing I noticed with the AirRave2 since they attempted to "fix" the problem is if you wipe your phone (as I do all of the time for rom testing purposes) when your phone starts for the first time, the clock will be way off. The evo is automatically set to get its time provisioning from the network and since the airrave2 is your "network tower," I am assuming that they just removed the time telling capability from it alltogether. I unplug the airrave2 and the time magically changes to the correct time. It does, however, stay at the right time after you plug it back in. It is only for the intiial bootup of the phone but an issue nonetheless.

Re: Sprint AirRave2 possible SMS MMS one hour timestamp culprit

just to keep this thread on track, not everyone is having these issues. i have had both models and have not had any missed calls or time errors with either. i dont reset my phone for testing as its stock unrooted and i plan to keep it that way however this is not a widespread issue even though it may seem to look like it is from this thread with a handful of members.

I beg to differ bud. I was told by 3 different airave engineers that all these issues are comon to the latest airave. Missed calls tend to happen with me as well as the call waiting issue. I just spoke with the most recent engineer about the time stamp issue and they have finally corrected this on my airave. I asked him about the other issues and they said it is a widespread problem theat they claim to be working on. So as to where you are getting your information I got mine from Airave support.
