Re: ok tryin to root my phone!!!!
The easiest method is to do the one click root by using unrevoked.
Here's the link - unrevoked Click on the HTC Evo and download the one for your OS platform. |

Re: ok tryin to root my phone!!!!
Is your phone new, if it is check the software version. The newest phones have a different camera and rooting your phone breaks it. If your phone came with the 3.30.651.2 software loaded on it when you bought it than you have the new camera and you probably should wait to root. 3.30.651.2 can't be rooted with unrevoked yet either. If you've had your phone awhile and you aren't on the latest OTA then root away, you will need to use root explorer to delete unwanted Sprint programs or install a custom rom.

Re: ok tryin to root my phone!!!!
Its best not to delete the sprint apps with stock rom. Try one of the custom rom some leave out sprint apps. OMJ is good but so are others . I use OMJ here is link http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/cdma-htc-e...11-1-10-a.html

Re: ok tryin to root my phone!!!!
Rooting your phone isn't going to achieve what you're looking to do. The EVO doesn't have 800Mb of memory, no matter what you remove. You're going to install your own apps at some point and not all of them will move to your SD card so they space will still be taken up.
If you're looking at custom ROMs, try Myn's Warm 2.2. You will need to root first and the Unrevoked option will work. |
