BTW guys I am not trying to start a silly flame war, I like both phones quite a bit. In fact I bought the EVO after I bought the Epic. The Epic was the first Android phone I dug myself into so maybe I just to used to the interface.

But I would like to use the EVO as my daily driver, thats why I am here -to customize the UI to my liking.


Dream phone would take the Epic cpu and screen and work it into the epic. At least for me.

Spend some time over at XDA. there are countless custom ROMS out there for you to choose from. Some without Sense if thats your thing.

Though they have done nothing with the ROM since 9/24, the download link still worked.

I personally run the nonSENSE ROM that was posted a few replies up and like it a lot. I just don't like the way Sense overpowers the system and takes over... and it is high on memory utilization.

Problem I usually have with Sense-less roms is the Alarm clock doesn't work right

Take a picture of you Epic screen. Print it out and tape it to the screen on you EVO. Now you got the Look thing nailed. We will work on function after awhile.
