Ripping Movies for the EVO

I am using WinX DVD Ripper Platinum to create digital versions of movies that I have purchased and am looking for the best and most size-smart settings. The program can rip to pretty much any format (AVI/MPG/MPEG/WMV/FLV/MOV). What are the best settings that people are using? Some of the movies that I have created digital copies of are coming in north of 1.5gb.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Ripping Movies for the EVO

I use Handbrake and Catalyst. I set to 800X480 video
with a video quality of 800 kbps
and a sound quality of 128 kbps
This returns a 600mByte movie for the standard 90 minute movie.

Re: Ripping Movies for the EVO

I use older version of Handbrake and rip them to uncompressed AVI and use rockplayer. they look great but dont help your storage space haha.

Re: Ripping Movies for the EVO

I still use mp4forHD for my dvd rips. Under profiles I choose HD2 and the movies look amazing on my EVO. A normal 90 min to 2 hour movie rips right around 1GB with and mp4 container. Here is the link if you want to try it out.

mp4forHD
