Re: Wireless tether with 4G ????
Are you rooted? I was wondering the same thing and while searching on XDA and here, I've found "Only 3g tether is unlocked, so you have to use wirelesstether (it's in the market ***only for "Root Users"***) for 4g tethering. Also, if you get frequent drops change to channel 1 in the application. Hope this helps.

Re: Wireless tether with 4G ????
definitely rooted but tethering was only 3g speeds when tried with wireless tether. As I said , using USB wired , 4g is great on tether. I will try latest wireless tether to see if that makes a ifference. It has been a month or so since i updated versions

Re: Wireless tether with 4G ????
I find it easiest to tether via 4G by disabling 3g(uncheck mobile network), and use the free wireless tether.
If you have good 4g signal, this is the way to go imo.

I am using 2.05 pre 7 as the others do not seem to want to play nice with my rom. I don't believe this makes a difference from reading about the newer versions as they are mainly for compatibility with new models coming out, etc. If anyone has any ieas or can validate speed , please drop in a post. Re: Wireless tether with 4G ????
I was in San Antonio, TX about a month ago for the weekend and connected just fine with 4g (did not turn off 3G) -- d/l was 5 megs and u/l was 1 meg speed -- using NetArchy's Burnt Rom and version pre-11 of wireless tether.
Only issue I saw, was the 4G connection seemed to time out after about 30 minutes and I had to close tether and restart, and reconnect - don't know if my laptop disconnect or 4G timed out - but I was very happy with the connection and speeds Mule |
