First I do not take credit for this. All credits go to Cyanogen over at: forum.cyanogenmod.com. I have started this thread because no ROMs by cyanogen are on PPCG, so I created this thread to help out the PPCG community. Please read carefully. I will do my best to keep us updated. Cyanogen's ROMs DO NOT INCLUDE HTC SENSE or 4G. Below are in order: Cyanogen: Stable ROM & Latest ROM.

This is an AOSP-based build with extra contributions from many people which you can use without any type of Google applications. I found a link from some other project that can be used to restore the Google parts, which can be found below or elsewhere in the thread. I've still included the various hardware-specific code, which seems to be slowly being open-sourced anyway.

INSTRUCTIONS:
- First time flashing CM 6 to your Evo (or coming from another ROM)?
1. Unlock/root your device and install Clockwork Recovery via ROM Manager or Amon_RA's recovery image (You MUST be NAND unlocked!)
2. Do a Nandroid backup!
3. Update your radio if necessary
4. WIPE
5. Install the ROM
5. Optionally install the Google Addon

- Upgrading from earlier CM6?
1. Do a Nandroid Backup!
2. Install the ROM (your Google apps will be backed up automatically)

HOW TO REPORT BUGS OR PROBLEMS?
- Was it a hard reboot? Get me the file "/proc/last_kmsg".
- Was it a soft reboot or a "boot loop"? Run "adb logcat" and get me the full output.
- Pastebin links preferred
- Please use the issue tracker whenever possible!

Anyone using 7? I started using Cyanogen 7 and I really like it. However I'm going to Mexico for my honeymoon and previously had Talk to me Cloud installed on Myn's 2.2 and it worked great. Now it force closes every time I select translate. Can anyone confirm this?

FYI I am running CM7 on my EVO and I have 4G, Radio, and HDMI. Make sure you are posting correct info. It does not however, do Sprint VVM or their VM to Text add-on.

as an update for all that are interested in Cyanogen Mod...

currently CM7 final is out. it has been reported (and experienced) as stable. 4G, WiFi, HDMI out (needs a specific app) are all OPERATIONAL.

This thread is like a year old... notice how the OP was posted in 2010 and they're saying the latest version is 6.0.0 and that there's no 4G?
