EVO and Telus
Hi, I am looking to get an EVO off ebay for use on Telus.
Looking at the upgrade page on the telus mobility site I just need: "If the PCS handset has a hexadecimal ESN or MEID, please ensure the "hex" box is checked off on your request." Does this mean I would need to get a phone with a ESN from ebay, or can I just call telus and will they be able to activate it? Also I took a look at this: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-evo-4g...o-verizon.html EDIT: Found this: http://www.telusmobility.com/en/ON/p...sdevices.shtml ?? Re: EVO and Telus
didnt know your Prov., so i just chose Ontario.. isnt Telus HSPA+ though???
heres some feedback anyways Getting Started If your device is compatible with the TELUS network, you'll need to purchase a TELUS SIM card and select a rate plan to activate it. You can purchase a TELUS SIM online or visit your nearest TELUS store <LI class=last>Compatible non TELUS devices should be able to make voice calls and send/receive text messages on our mobile network. To browse the internet, use these general guidelines and settings to configure your non TELUS device's data connection Non TELUS device compatibility checkÂ*|Â* Phones and devicesÂ*|Â* SupportÂ*|Â* TELUS Mobility this link checks IMEI.. Theres your answer.. IMEI is the GSM equivelant of CDMA's ESN.... Cant place a CDMA phone on a GSM carrier... so the answer is NO
