Blinking LED light (sms) and awake time.

Earlier I was checking if something was keeping my phone awake.while doing so a few text messages come in from time to time, when I checked the awake time it matched up with the received text messages (blinking led.) I turned off led notification and awake time was now what its suppose to be.anyone blinking led keeps phone "awake"? also will this be a battery drainer as if my phone screen was actually on?i can turn the led notification off but I find it useful, thanks for the response.apologize for it being a bit long.

led notification shouldn't drain your battery. remember it's an LED. which is different than a real filliment light

Re: Blinking LED light (sms) and awake time.

Your battery will drain faster if the phone's not sleeping. Try turning off LED notification, reboot phone, then turn it back on. What might be happening is that the LED notification app/code got wonky somehow and kept polling for a new texts keeping your phone awake. If that doesn't work, try Lunesta. Just shove it in the mini hdmi port and call it a night! lol

Lol thanks ok so found out it only happens with handcent sms when I select anything other then "default" in setting/notifications/led flash frequency.Never noticed any serious drainage I wonder if I'm the only one experiencing this.
