Kickstand Broke!!!

The spring on the kickstand is real lose now...i barely even use the sucker...now it pops out...rite now i have it taped down..any suggestions before i take it to the sprint store??

I have the same issue have for awhile now. I was using a case that kept it in now I put a piece or paper behind the battery door.

I had the same problem. If you have the repair or replace coverage with sprint then this is covered under the wear and tear coverage. Sprint replaced my phone. Only problem is that my local repair center denied me service because they said it did not fall under wear and tear. They said it was physical damage. So in the end sprint had to send me a phone in the mail since they couldn't tell the repair center to follow their set guideline.
If you don't have any insurance coverage then under sprints new policy change the repair center can replace or repair your phone for a $35 fee if your within the 1 year warranty which I'm sure your in or you can send it to htc at no cost but that will take several days for them to fix it.
Just remember that this is wear and tear just like the keyboard on the tp or tp2. It uses the same type of spring loaded mechanism. Don't let the repair center tell you otherwise.

well besides the shipping fees to send it to them. I had my lcd replaced recently but had to pay to ship it to them. They're pretty fast, sent it over night on Monday, they overnighted it back on Wednesday, got my phone Thursday.

as long as it isnt broken off, any S and R center will take care of it for 35 bucks without ESRP/TEP and free if you have ESRP/TEP. If you have a S&R center that claims it as PD, you should get their S&R managers info and talk to that person.

LOL. Sorry I have to laugh although that sucks. The kickstand is worthless in my opinion. I wish it at least would hold my phone up in portrait mode, on my desk, you know sense doesnt do landscape so if I want to display my phone on my desk everything is sideways. sheesh.

thanks guys, im sure im fully covered on the sprint insurance plan. so it should be free...but for PropagandaX it is useless, UNTIL i am watchn sports games on it like im doing now lol..Im at wrk so im watching the Heat vs Celtics game, couldn't miss it lol. But i cant stand putting tape on my phone when i paid so much for this HIGH END phone ya know. Its the principle more than anything.

I don't know if you are set on only using Sense as your home pages, but Launcher Pro will rotate all screens to landscape. The only drawback I have found us you can't use the HTC widgets (people, calendar, etc) but there a some replacements for those in Launcher Pro or comparable ones on the market.
