Sync Calendar Problems

I can't sync my calendar on my Evo to my Google Calendar. Actually, it was working fine this morning but after adding a secondary calendar in Google Calendar on my PC I'm now unable to sync my calanders. Neither the Primary nor secondary calendars sync. The phone is signed into my google account. Here is the strange part that I'm hoping someone can help me out with:

On the phone, if I go to Menu>Settings>Accounts & Sync>Google.....There is NO option for Sync Calendar, only Sync contacts and Sync Gmail.

Furthermore, while in the calendar, Menu>More>Calendars brings up NO calanders, not even the primary calander.

Syncing with the primary calendar in Android should be automatic. I've tried clearing the Data from Calendar and Calendar storage but it did not help. Thanks for the help.

Re: Sync Calendar Problems

judging from the lack of responses, I'm guessing there is no simple solution to this. I wrote the thread in the first person because it was easier but it is actually my dad's Evo that is happening to. I think a hard reset may be necessary but he is not rooted and doesn't wish to do so. Since Titanium backup is out then, how can he hard reset and get everything back to where he is now as easily as possible? Also, if he backs up everything now, will he just be backing up his problem in the first place or should that do the trick?
