Home, Menu, Back, Search lights

I was using my phone in the dark tonight and noticed that my buttons on the bottom of the phone don't light up. I'm pretty sure they used to. I am rooted and running Sprint Lover's ROM, but I have the same ROM loaded on my wife's EVO and her buttons light up. I looked over the settings on the 2 phones and they were setup the same. Is my phone defective or is their a setting for those lights that I can't seem to find?

Re: Home, Menu, Back, Search lights

Are you talking about how they used to dim kind of when you were in a dark room and turned off your screen? Instead of completely turning off, they would still be lit but dim...I think they got rid of that to save battery, with one of the OTA's so if your on a latest roms that might be why. Well thats what I always chalked it up to at least.

It should light up in the dark. Cut the lights in the room and see if they light up or not.

Yup, as soon as you unplug it, it should light up again.

Download LED's hack from the market, should help you figure out what's going on with the lights cuz you can turn Them On and off w It.

Re: Home, Menu, Back, Search lights

My Droid, Droid 2, Droid X, and now my Evo all did the same thing. The lights seem to work when they want. On mine, a battery pull fixes it for awhile, or unchecking then recheck the auto setting on display works to. Does your screen seem brighter when the lights don't work?

Re: Home, Menu, Back, Search lights

Weird, yesterday I tried all kinds of things to get them to work and nothing, today they all of a sudden started working.
