Google "Voice search" turns on randomly

annoying Google voice search keeps popping up randomly while texting or while typing a web address / doing a Google search. Anyone else experiencing this? I am not sure it is a senor that activates it or if It's me that is pressing one of the hard keys while typing? also happens when watching a video while holding my phone with both hands..can someone shine some light? it's frustrating - could this possibly be uninstalled?

You are probably holding your phone in a way that allows a portion of a finger to "hover" over the search key on the right corner .

Calkulin has a work around for rooted phones. Check his thread in upgrades here or on XDA.

is it possible to uninstalled that feature? I personally hate using any voice command features because they are never accurate and it almost always calls the wrong person.

I think there should be a way to remapp that search button to something else or disable it all completely at least when watching/ streaming videos because the video doesn't resume after the the search button is pressed and you are force to restart your stream.
