Google "Voice search" turns on randomly

annoying Google voice search keeps popping up randomly while texting or while typing a web address / doing a Google search. Anyone else experiencing this? I am not sure it is a senor that activates it or if It's me that is pressing one of the hard keys while typing? also happens when watching a video while holding my phone with both hands..can someone shine some light? it's frustrating - could this possibly be uninstalled?
