Re: Can the Folders Be Customized?

I use 'App Folders'. There are several others. Search for 'folder' in the market.

Re: Can the Folders Be Customized?

I'm interested in this also. I supposed modified folders can also be pushed as part of a flashable theme but I am not certain.

For the sake of smoothness, battery, compatibility, etc. I try to stay as stock as possible (with the exception of themes). I prefer to see less items running in my services list if necessary. Apps won't cut it for me. I know there is a way to theme them. We just need someone who has gutted Android to tell us.

Re: Can the Folders Be Customized?

FolderOrganizer is an app that allows for some customization of "folders" which are actually widgets the app creates.

Thanks. I will check this out...I was hoping that being rooted, one could just "get in there" and change the color etc.! I will look at this option. Appreciate the help guys

Re: Can the Folders Be Customized?

Smart shortcuts is perfect. You can use custom icons for folder Icons and it is easy to organize a folder using this app. Also it is a folder and not a widget so if you use ADW or LP you can place them in the Launcher. I know the drawer under the launcher for ADW doesnt support widgets so with that other app you will have issues but with this app there are no issues at all. The starting pack of icons is weak but thats not an issue I pulled a bunch of PNG's from google images to make my own icons.
