next time don't take the sd card out and just use your cable that came with it to hook up to whatever pc and use your phone as a disk drive alot easier. try taking the card back out and then cutting it back on then cut it back off insert card and you should be good to go. hope this helps

Have you tried running a filesystem check in the sd card using chkdsk on windows? I'm thinking your card might be corrupt.

Re: sd card mounted and read only......anyone have any ideas?

Copy everything off of the card to a directory on your PC. Put the card back in the phone, and format it in the phone. Then copy everything back, preferably using the cable.

Some SD cards have a tiny RW protection TAB. You might want to check.

Re: sd card mounted and read only......anyone have any ideas?

Yeah I did all the above last night trying to clear the error.......solution finally was to copy all contents of the card to a folder then re-format the long way through Windows and reinstall my files back to the card......and presto everything is cool again.......looks like I will stick to the cable from here on out, transferring 7.5 gigs back and forth really cuts into my nap time......lol.....thanks for all the advise.....
