HTC Sync 3.0.5422 on Evo
I've been frustrated with the 2.04 version of HTC Sync not working consistently. Just for the heck of it, I tried the latest version for the Wildfire (version 3.0.5422) with my Evo.
I'm happy to report it's working great! It backs up my photos, music, and Outlook contacts and calendar. You can even sync with iTunes too! I found the link on HTC's website. So far, it's been flawless an worked perfect every time.

Re: HTC Sync 3.0.5422 on Evo
I'm running Win7 64 bit w/4gb DDR3 RAM. It's working perfectly. I didn't even uninstall the old 2.x Sync. I just turned exited it, so it's not running. HTC Sync 3.x is running and connects every time I asked it to. I'm using OMJ's latest ROM.
What I find cool is that it pulls my photos off my phone to my PC, along with syncing music if I want it to and documents. But honestly, I just needed a good sync that would take my Outlook contacts and calender both ways. NOTE: The HTC website says it's not for US Customers, or even for the EVO, but I've not had a problem at all. Here is the link: Application - HTC Sync 3.0 for HTC Legend |

The Hero is listed as now having htc sync 3.0. So I guess it's now for US customers as well.

Re: HTC Sync 3.0.5422 on Evo
Just tried it on Win7 Pro x64 and it worked just fine.
EDIT: Just tried to put it on my laptop, which is the same OS, and MSXML fails.... weird.... Last edited by NthgToFear; 10-04-2010 at 12:11 PM. |
