I am on rooted 2.2 with one file deleted and for the life of me, I am having problems going back to 2.1 in order to go to 2.2, do the OTA and then root. I missed something somewhere and frankly, there is just so much to read...

I just recently got my EVO last week, but I just got the update for Android 2.2 so it is the stock version. I have yet to have it rooted. I am scared, someone PM in which route i should go to ROOT i just dont want to have any problems.
