Do themes cause more battery drain?

I installed OMJ's v3.2 ROM the other day, updated the radios and added Riptide9's Glass theme. My battery life has been horrible since that day. I previously came from OMJ's v2.1 ROM and the battery life was stupendous. I noticed many people saying the current stock ROM having great battery life and I am seeing the opposite result.

Could it be that I have the Riptide9's theme installed? I can't think of any other logical reason otherwise.

Thoughts?

uninstall theme and check, i would say themes cause more battery drain but not 100% sure one evo.

I dont know how a riptides theme would cause battery drain...I have it and dont experience any more or less drain.

The theme is just photoshopped images, its not changing anything that would cause the battery to drain quicker, like live wallpapers do.

Same here, running themes doesn't make any noticeable difference in battery performance as far as I can tell. So when in doubt hardreset.

Ok... switched to OMJ's v3.5 been on 3 hours 42 min so far made a few calls emails texts... nothing too major. Down to 82% now. Seems to be a tiny bit better... but not getting the "My phone's been on for 8 hours and only down to 80%" claims. I used to get about 14 hours of medium high use and got up to 30 hours on a quiet day.

Thats a long day...6 hours longer than I get in a day.
