NEw OTA Update is a battery saver!!!

just to let you guys know that I have been using my fone a moderate amount today, took it off the charger at 6:27 pm and now it's 2:43am and i still have 79% idk wut sprint and htc did but i love them for it!!! is it just me or u guys too???

Yea i think your right I had 60% after 13hrs on moderate use....I would normally have 30 - 40%

I wish I could say the same. Mine still lasts the same, but I guess 8 hours isnt too bad

Did you go through and tweak all the battery saving items that you had prior to the update like disconnecting from Google Talk and Stopping the automatic sign in?

I noticed a HUGE improvement yesterday. My battery normally was dropping like a rock within 1 hr of taking off the charger (usually to 75%) and then staying stable for the rest of the day (about 10%/hr). Yesterday, after lunch, I left it on my desk, off the USB and when I left to go home, it was around 90% (after 5 hrs). I'll take that in standby mode.

I wonder how well it will do making a ton of calls like I will today...

Also remember a few items were added.....ie new radio....the radio could have a factor on battery life as well as pri. Say you were in an area where you had a weaker signal with the new update to pri and radio they may have tweaked some setting which may be helping.
