Re: New Pri 1.77

Ok I did e update cuz I said hey what the hell... right??? Well Im happy I did it and kinda ... My 4G speeds have doubled going from around 4-5mbps to now 9-10mbps...=D> Now on my 3G speeds I have decresaed some.... Not much but I use to get 1.5mbps to now avg 1.0mbps but getting as low as .50 as well and the kicker is the areas that use to have good 4G coverage is below par now and some areas where I had no 4G coverage I have great coverage now So im trying to debate wether or not to flash back to 1.34 via zip and flashing. Or just staying with the 1.77 and see if there is any improvments and maybe its just me.... Any suggestions?

Re: New Pri 1.77

The problem lies here is that people want to find something wrong with what is available. Its in our nature but it really is not a big deal here.

"The Primary Rate Interface (PRI) is a standardized telecommunications service level within the Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) specification for carrying multiple DS0 voice and data transmissions between a network and a user."

If it doesnt work than either you did something wrong or the file was corrupt.

There shouldnt be any weird problems due to this update.

Re: New Pri 1.77

I understand what your saying but honestly it has nothing to do with the fact that I may have botched it. I have been doing this for quite awhile honestly and never had any issues with anything until now... The proof is in my speedtest reports from when I had 1.40 to 1.77 and I have the 3G to 4G speed variances... It just doesnt make sense to why its affecting my signal. Trust me I understand what your saying but there is an issue slight as it may be there is one. With that being said I think im going to stick with the 1.77 for awhile just to see since its only been a full 2 days anwyays. But like I said I have noticed a difference in my 3-4G speeds. Before and after PRI updates. Side note.. Im also a Sprint Tech so I have enough tools for me laying around

Re: New Pri 1.77

tandxcstar1 please don't take my remarks as harsh. Being a Sprint Tech as you said, you have resources available to you so you should be able to confirm this update as well as your findings with Sprint to ensure this should work properly. You have the upper hand here then to confirm weather or not this is good or bad here. After all, it is the Sprint Network...lol

Best of luck bud!

Re: New Pri 1.77

damn it jim i'm a DR. not an evo tech geek.

Ok so i downloaded the zip. Did a nand backup and while there tried to install zip from sd card. no luck. tried to rename file to PC36IMG and put into bootloader. Of course while there I was able to choose bootloader or fastboot, but neither was able to find the pcFile.

phone craps out, you flash back to stock rom and update to 2.2 for service issues. it still shows 1.34 so what you don't get the extra 0.001 net speed you wanted, it's the $400 you pay for a new phone cuz you broke warranty.

Your google skills are superb, however, you grabbed the WRONG data.

PRI and BRI for ISDN doesn't relate to cell phones..... PRI for isdn, if I remember my basic networking, is 24, 64kbs channel bonded data line....

PRI for CDMA cell phones, is actually called the "Product Release Instruction" configuration. It will contain radio information plus some/all of the following: various configuration items on the handset that may be network specific but not necessarily subscription specific, such as standard CDMA channels, slot cycle index, default PRL, etc.

Re: New Pri 1.77

O[QUOTE=litlepyro;1951289]No there is only the 1.34 PRI and the 1.77 PRI
2 QUESTIONS
CAN I GO STRAIGHT FROM STOCK 1.4 TO 1.77 PRL FLASHABLE? I RENAMED TO PCIMG36 AS I HAVE SEEN TO DO. I USED NANDROID TO MAKE AN IMGE OF MY CURRENT CONFIG SO I CAN RESTORE TO PREV STATE IF I DONT LIKE 1.77. SECONDLY IF I AM NOT IN 4G AREA WILL THIS PRL (OR PRI) MAKE ANY DIFF TO ME. I WOULD APPRECIATE FEEDBACK. THANKS.

I was able to restore back to 1.34 using the exact instructions from litlepyro. Read them and understand you have to flash the same file name two totally different ways. I had to revert because 1.77 didn't seem stable. I would have great signal one minute and then I would have no data at all the next.

Thank you, I reapplied 1.77 and did what you suggested and it appears to be running stable. Thank you.
