Bluetooth for phone not working

Fully Rooted 2.2 Evo with Stock Rom

After I rooted, I had some trouble getting my S-9 Motorola headset to connect. It would pair but not connect. I kept playing with it and it finally connected but it only connects for media and not for phone.

I can't think of any settings particular to the phone that could be wrong. It used to work fine before 2.2 root. Any ideas?

Re: Bluetooth for phone not working

I've never been a fan of motorola products. Everytime I have ever owned one I have issues with it. I tend to buy Blueant, Jawbone products over motorola these days. Try another bluetooth device and see if you can get it to work. This is the best way to find out if it is a setting in the phone, or if it's the bluetooth device itself.

Re: Bluetooth for phone not working

Found it. If anyone cares, when you go into the Bluetooth dialog, if you long hold the device you are pairing, if you long hold the device, a menu appears with an options in that menu. Under options, it asks what kind of connection do you want to make. Check both media and phone.

The nice thing about not checking phone is that most radio streams crap out after a call.
