Has anyone notice Google contacts not syncing and killing the battery trying today?

On my rooted 2.1, in "Accounts and Sync", the Sync All button was jumping back and forth between Sync All and Cancel, endlessly, and my battery was getting chewed up fast. On the Evo I got a couple days ago for my wife, with 2.2, also rooted, it shows red Exclamation points inside of the Google box. Apparently 2.2 know not to keep trying or something like that, or has a better line of communication with the server.

Unless this behavior is caused by some app I have on both, of which the latest version is causing it. But when I uncheck Sync Contacts on my 2.1, the endless attempts stop. And hers has a message about there being some system problem in Google right now.

Anyone else notice this, or can shed some more light on this? Maybe it is an app?

C'mon Bundo! You have never done a "Zip Alignment" before? If you don't, they will get out of line and act up in public! I can't believe you have never done this...geeeesh!

Also, you have to do a "turn signal fluid jumper alignment" once a month pn your car or you will always make left hand turns. The only way to correct it is to do the alignment then vacuum the trunk. That will make it all better!

Re: Has anyone notice Google contacts not syncing and killing the battery trying toda

This happenned to me once and it was constantly drain my battery. I think to resolve the problem, I backed up all of my contacts to excel; deleted all contacts from gmail/google; deleted all contacts from phone; imported contacts back to gmail, then synced back with phone. If I remember correctly, those were the steps I took to fix the problem. Search on here though for "contacts syncing issues"
