I just don't see the need for so many frames per second. Talk about altered reality. Maybe you all should try poker.

Re: anyway to increase framerate on stock rom?

thanks to everyone who contributed! i'm now officially on stock froyo with a custom kernal and it's awesome! the stability/ability of a stock ROM with the customization from root and kernal.

their is no need...it's a want. it's a want to mod your phone, it's a want to have and EVO, etc etc.......if you think about it we really have very few basic "needs".

having your FPS increased makes a HUGE difference. just look at any ipad, iphone, or ipod and you'll see the difference. my EVO is smooth like butter now. seriously a day and night difference.

Im still trying to figure this one out. My girlfriend is on the latest OTA, unrooted, and gets 51 FPS. Is there really a need for 3 additional FPS? Can you really tell a difference between 51 and 54? I will admit when I first flashed a custom kernel and took off the 30 FPS cap, I could see a difference. But the only benefit of a custom kernel now that I can see is they take up less internal storage.

Re: anyway to increase framerate on stock rom?

Is the app to check FPS in the market? Or where can I download it? I have never worried about it before but I am just curious to see what my EVO gets.
