charging problems...

Hi i have an evo and it has a charging problem( i dont know if its just me or everyone else has it) but i hope yall can help me. The problem is that it charges TOO FAST, if my phone's battery charge dropped to 80 percent and i charge it via AC the phone gets charged within 10-15 minutes.... coming from an htc touch pro 2, i know phones take some time to charge and it takes hours not minutes even if charging through a/c.

IDK if its because of the new battery that i bought, the Seidio 3500 mah extended battery, but its charging too fast..and it doesnt last me long..i take it to school and i dont even use the phone at all and that thing drops to 75-85 percent, i dont have anything running, i unistalled ATK and that junk still kills the battery like its nuthing.

I also wanted to know that if i calibrate the battery like it says here on this post, will it start chargin properly or will i have to do what every body else is doing, buying a battery charger??

I hope yall can help me and thank yall for your time.

Re: charging problems...

If its a car charger or is charging via a computer it takes awhile. Generally when you use the wall charger it will charge pretty quicky. A completely depleated battery will charge in about 2-3hrs. Your saying you charged it from 80-85% and it does it in about 15min? That sounds about right. Don't worry about it.

The draining of your battery could be many factors. Friendstream, Wifi, GPS etc all enabled. Go into your Accounts and Sync and see if they are set to auto sync...if so disable auto sync...that should improve your battery.

Re: charging problems...

i have all that junk disabled the only thing i always have on is gps. i also only use 3 screens out the 7 of the sense UI so that i can hopefully save some battery. i have tried different roms and even went back to 2.1 but it still the same thing..

i found this method of getting the phone to recognize that it has a bigger battery on this page and it kinda worked it was taking sometime for the phone to drop from 100 percent..

hopefully this helps some:
