qik/ fring issues

So basically my phone isn't ringing when I get qik calls. I always have to call people but then I can't ever hear them anybody else having this issue?
Also when I use fring it works good for about 5 minutes then it starts getting choppy and a annoying loud sound starts. The thing about it is that people say that the can still see me when the sound starts and I can't see them. Any fixes for this?

Re: qik/ fring issues

Maybe a hard reset is in order. You can also try uninstalling the apps and then reinstalling them shortly after. Basicly this should creat new data based around your phones current setup. These are just shots in the dark though. I havnt had these issues but then again I havnt really played with video chat.

Re: qik/ fring issues

I found that there is a horrible echo with Fring that can only be corrected by one of the users using a headset so that the speaker is not interrupting. Haven't had issues with Qik, but I haven't video chatted in ages. I do know that even though they both "work" over 3g, they are best if used over wifi,

All in all, both apps need a lot of work to be better integrated into the OS.
