Lost GMail and Mail...HELP!
I've been messing with different ROMs over the past day and finally got one setup how I like. However, it didn't have the latest GMail, so using Root Explorer I dropped the latest into /system/apps. I must have messed something up because I lost both GMail and my other mail...they don't appear in the app list.
Worst come to worst, I can restore to an old backup and rebuild but I would prefer not to. Can anyone help me with what's wrong or how to remedy this? Is there cache somewhere that needs clearing?

I guess you could flash the gapps package and get gmail back...or open up the rom .zip and pull out the files you replaced and then put the originals back.. that should work.
