No idea if its safe or not. I'll let everyone know if it is if I get the speakers I ordered. Lol I figured i would try it since I started the thread.

ive ordered a few things from them in the past and always got what i ordered within a week.

I ordered the speakers from Globaldirectparts, and got them yesterday.
What I have in my Evo right now is a speaker advertized for the Nokia
N-95 8GB, N-73, 5300, 6300 This little speaker is an exact duplicate
of the speaker the Evo originally came with. (Size and Ohms)
E-bay seller goodsupply0889 $3.98 shipped to my house.

This is also another duplicate of the Evo Speaker:
speaker/ringer for Nokia 5800 $7.00 shipped to my house
E-bay seller sell4joy .

Yet another exact copy,
Speaker/ringer/buzzer for Blackberry Bold 9000 $6.30 shipped to my house
E-bay seller everything4blackberry (US seller from Monsey NY.)

I have used all 3 of these speakers/buzzer/ringers in my Evo.
I can not tell the difference, other than the numbers stamped on them.
They all measure 15.10MM wide by 11.09 MM high, 2.6MM thick
and they all ohm at around 5 to 9.
I havent tried the ones from Globaldirectparts yet (don't feel like taking
my Evo apart for the 4th time) but they look exactly like the ones listed above.
