HDMI Connection No Longer Works
I cannot get HDMI connection to work no matter what I do. I purchased this HDMI cable here: http://cgi.ebay.com/Micro-HDMI-Type-...item27b31eee06
It used to work flawlessly using OMJ's rom and somehow stopped working through flashing different roms. I thought it was a rom issue so I switched back to OMJ's and the problem persists. Sometime I get sound but I no longer get video. OMJ purchased the same HDMI cable. |

Re: HDMI Connection No Longer Works
My suggestion would be to flash back to stock and see if your phone persists, if so, then get it exchanged. Be sure you are wiping/clearing correctly...

Re: HDMI Connection No Longer Works
There is a known issue with cheap cables. They work one minute and don't the next. I freaked out when mine stopped working too, I thought it was my phone. I bought the offical one from a Sprint store, tested it and had no issues. Good luck!

What do you mean by wiping/cleaning correctly? I am going to try reverting to stock and see what happens.

Re: HDMI Connection No Longer Works
Curiosity, can you bring a rooted phone to sprint for repair without voiding your warranty?
P.S. Just a side note, I called sprint on the issue and was told they do not the HDMI actually working. All they support is that it connects. I asked what exactly does "it connects" meant and was told a bunch of stuff that I don't even remember that really had nothing to do with answering the question. However, one thing was made sure to me was that Sprint does not support problem with the HDMI connection not working. Last edited by Aloupha; 09-04-2010 at 02:03 PM. |

Re: HDMI Connection No Longer Works
I bought the official htc hdmi cables from Radio Shack for $30 and they work flawlessly.
They came in RS packaging but when I opened them it had htc branding on the cables. |
