How do I delete the browser cache?

When ever I use my phone browser, I like to delete the cookies, cache, history, form data passwords and location info. I usually do this while in my browser after going to my home page. Then I go to MENU ->MORE->Settings. I select and delete each item. Now I find after deleting all of the items...if I select BACK on my browser... I still see the pages I had viewed. It's like my cache is NOT being deleted. Anyone else seeing this? I though if I deleted all the info it should be gone.

Why not?

BTW, I am not rooted and running Froyo.

Yes..still when I press the back button it shows the pages. They should not be there.

EDIT: Had to run the History Eraser 3X and it finally deleted. Very strange...have to keep my eye on this one to see if it happens again.

Re: How do I delete the browser cache?

You can also go in through menu settings applications management internet and clear cache and data in there.

Re: How do I delete the browser cache?

One workaround you can do is this:

In the browser, hit menu, then Windows, and open a new window (plus sign in upper left corner)
Hit menu again, and go to the old window (not the one you just opened), and click on the x, to close it.

When you back out of the browser, it won't navigate through all of your pages. It should go right to your launcher.
