how to get with stock 2.2 after 2.1 rollback *non OTA*

i found that the way they wanted to do part 2 not functioning and want to provide a faster and easier way to root "stock" froyo 2.2

after you rollback to 2.1

install unrevoked forever (afterwards it should say -off not -on)

(check the bootloader before flashing the 2.2 ruu)

than download the stock ruu of 2.2

make sure usb debugging is turned on (settings/applications/development)

run the stock ruu and it will install 2.2

download the pc36img of clockwork recover (its like 3 megs)

also download the current version of superuser

put these 2 files on your sd card (delete all previous zips)

turn off Evo
boot into bootloader (hold volume down than press power) it will launch the clock work recover and when prompted install it

dont reboot

go into recovery

than install superuser from the sd card

reboot

wallah you have rooted stock 2.2 and superuser access for wifi tether among other things

I hope this helps people who are stuck doing part 2, I find this easier than their steps
