Re: screen goes black during calls

Any more info to go with this?

Rooted? Custom Rom? FroYo? etc....

Seems normal for the proximity sensor to turn off the display when your rubbing it on your ear but it should turn back on a few seconds after you take it away..

Boo Boo I say you also did the revert back to 2.1 1.47 if I remember right. I also did and am not having this problem. I think I also have problem with Wimax will have to go back out to area and try again.

Re: screen goes black during calls

I think your having far more problems with your phone than anyone else. Take it and swap it out for another Evo.

Re: screen goes black during calls

Mine goes blank after a few seconds. I aswsumed it was a power saving thing. But it always comes back with a tap to the power button.

Re: screen goes black during calls

I'm on DC 3.2.3 (on 2.1 yet), and have to push the power button sometimes (maybe all the time) to get the screen back on if I need it to be the one to hang up, or bring up the keypad, etc. Does pressing the power button briefly work, BooBoo?

Re: screen goes black during calls

If this were MinMo, I'd consider that behavior normal. However, I've never once experienced that problem with the prox sensor.
