Contacts issue... 2 3 4 how many do you need lol

The multiples are inside the contact. So if I click contacts it shows "Jeff, whoever" if I click that contact it shows his number. If I click edit that contact it shows his number with that same number underneith it. then sometimes it will show that contact and both those numbers underneith all that as if its alread mearged the two contacts and both there same numbes lol. I guess this isnt easy to explain. Google isnt syncing contacts and it never was. I fixed this issue and it was all good and then A month has goon by and now its back.. Maybe the fix was never implimented in my save but I was pretty sure it was. I will just keep fidling with it until I figure it out. Either I messed up or somehow this phone is saving repeated numbers within the contact.

Did you recently install the facebook app via the market?

I dont know what was going on but its fixed now. And no I didnt install the facebook app.
