Sprint Profile Update Question / Help

I bought an Evo off someone, and he had a custom ROM on it. I for the life of me can not get in to change the profile settings over to me. The ## thing doesnt work on it, I cant flash it back to stock either. Does someone have an install like on the Windows mobile phones that allows you to do the activation? I am currently running the 1.47 rooted stock rom. Any help AT ALL would be very much appreciated, I have spent a good 5 hours on this thing tonight and im ready to throw it against the wall!!

looks like my phone was flashed for cricket.. how do i get it back to sprint? I have the stock rom loaded but i cant get it to switch to sprint.. *2 just gives me crickets error.

The first thing I would do is install Unrevoked Forever on it. Then install the latest 2.2 stock supersonic ROM. Then run profile update.

My problem is I have crickets PRL in there and I dont know how to get rid of it. my PCS username is the cricket number @sprintpcs.com I somehow need to revert it back to my PCS username and change the PRL so I can atleast talk to sprint to try to authenticate.

I might just go into the store and play dumb with the stock rom and see what they say.

Flash one of the stock rooted sprint roms. That should fix it. Or flash the 2.1 ota then reroot. It should reset everything back to factory.

Why did you respond to my advice with this? This configuration does not matter if you are flashing it with the stock build I was recommending. But if you are smart, you will first flash with Unrevoked Forever... or you will regret it later.
