Gmail not deleting from website, outlook

ok not sure if i am missing something but with my google account (actually a google app account, but syncs using the gmail app) when i delete email from my phone its gone on the phone, but thats it (still shows as new email on phone but doesnt show it anymore) now when i use outlook or the webmail it actually pulls it up as new, once i delete it from there, it no longer shows new on the phone, anyone have any ideas?

Also this just started happening the last couple of days.
