Re: clearwire 4g works on my evo wow

its the same service as Sprint owns 56% of the company. Only thing is Sprint doesnt limit bandwidth like Clear does and Sprint requires better signal straight then Clear does.
In short 802.16 is 802.16..

You dont happen to remember where on xda?

what do you have to do to change the settings. I actually use clear on my laptop and I've noticed the signal strength seems to be higher with the clearwire modem, than with my evo.

Re: clearwire 4g works on my evo wow

Clearwire. Goodness, I am going a bit off topic here, as many of us with Clearwire have a "hate" relationship with them. For the longest period of time I cussed them something fierce. I went from having all 5 lights on the modem lit and really slow access to all 5 lights on the modem lit with no access. I went through 2 routers. Moving files from the PDA to different computers was a sore spot. Goodness. One day I was rambling through Best Buy and asked about routers. I was pointed toward their brand, at which time I noted a Netgear dual band N router. Out the door with the dual band router. I still have the same number of lights on the replacement Clearwire router and no longer have any problems with their service and moving files is like blinking the eyes.

Re: clearwire 4g works on my evo wow

So no one knows where on xda to find out how to change the settings? I'm in Memphis and I've heard absolutely nothing about Sprint's 4g coming to this area anytime soon. If clearwire is here, I'd like to try and get on that if possible.
