evo router speeds

im looking to purchase and htc evo for the wifi router and 4g speeds. can you guys post your download speeds (kbps)...and is there a diffrence in speed with the preloaded wifi router app, then rooting it and installing the wifi router app from market. im intrested because my download speeds are terrible. 48kbps over wifi tethering from my touch pro 2

I don't have 4G available, but both the Sprint Hotspot on the stock ROM, and the free wireless tether on a rooted ROM, will stream wifi to my Netflix Roku box fast enough to watch movies without a glitch or having to pause to re-spool the buffer

2to 10mb is what I get in 4g 3g is 500 to about 1.7
