My question is this:i have a nand backup from a couple days ago with pri 1.34 if i restore that back up will the 1.40 pri still stick or will it revert back to 1.34?

ps just posted this at xda so sorry if you re-reading this :D

From my experience, you can restore a nand backup and retain 1.40. I just updated pri last night, performed a nand backup just to be safe, then restored a previous nand from several days ago. 1.40 remained through this. I cannot guarantee your experience will be the same, but you should be fine.

Yup it stayed atv1.40 thanks.

Well, that update has got to have been the most annoying challenge to get. I finally got mine following the bounty post( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=748392 ) at xda using AmonRa v1.7.0.2 recovery and the stock 2.2 netarchy rom. I did go back to Calkulins EViO 2.1 for a try to instigate the OTA which it did and I just let it sit there while I read more until it either went away on it's own or due to a text coming in. I jumped to damageControl 3.5 for some tries and then settled to just following the XDA post for I think 3 tries. The 1st try I did do the offered update to voicemail and then stayed with the repeat of ##786# and did the wipe in the same order as posted. This last time that it finally worked I skipped setting up my gmail. I just figured I would post my results to see if there was something that stood out that may be a trigger for it working for anyone that has had no luck yet. I was seriously ready to throw in the towel. Good luck.

Question, once I enter ##768# and enter my msi# it says something like please wait configuring. It just keeps running and never does anything. Do I suppose to navigate away from this and boot into recovery? Or do I suppose to wait forever?

I had that happen once, where it seemed to not be doing anything. I just pulled my battery after a little bit and when I put it in it did it's thing. That's just me though, I am impatient.

I still cant get the pri to update. Its going on day 3 for me. I'm running OMJ's latest rom. I flashed to another rom and after putting ##786# in it finally rebooted. I have done this several times. I have even done all the wipes and still no dice.

I think it may have something to do with running the proper kernal? Maybe it needs to be a stock one. I dunno but it sure would be nice just to be able to flash this pri update... I'm done with it for a little while.

It sucks because my data speed is so slow. Before it used to be screaming fast..

It has nothing to do with rom or kernel imo.Mine worked on netarchy kernel and calkulin rOm.

OK go figure, it took me longer to get my MSL than it did to get PRI 1.4 (seriously the people on the phone are programming sensitive... first 1 started asking me a ton of questions, so i just hung up and called back, then gave the i am trying to reset my phone back to factory because it keeps dropping calls and now it wants my MSL... finally got it... )

I was running OMJ's latest ROM and it went through first time using the ##786 method, and pulled the battery when screen went blank... and followed the rest of that post's directions...

I won't be in the city until Monday, so no 4G to check... but so far 3G seems more stable.. holding 1+ instead of the normal 700+
