permanently delete text

So basically last night my wife downloaded a sms backup and seen way to much so is there any way to permanently delete text using handcent or any apps

while in handcent, long press the 'conversation thread' and on the next screen press delete.

Question with regards to this topic - so when we delete them since there is no deleted items folder, are they gone or if you do a back up you will even find the ones deleted?

Well there not gone for good. Cuz she downloaded a sms backup and it retrieved all the texts i deleted

if u delete a whole thread and then u text the person all of mine were back.... i was tryin to make this guy outta sight outta mine and then he text me and i text him back and all our old cakey messages popped up lol
